Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Neural Prosody website, publishing platform, or any services operated by Neural Prosody, LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use our services. Neural Prosody reserves the right to update these terms at any time; continued use of our services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Use of Published Content

All articles published in Neural Prosody journals are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) unless otherwise stated. Under CC BY 4.0, you are free to read, download, share, adapt, and reuse published content for any purpose, including commercial use, provided you give appropriate credit to the original authors, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.

Neural Prosody’s own website content—including policy documents, editorial guidelines, and site text authored by Neural Prosody staff—is copyright Neural Prosody, LLC. You may reproduce this content for non-commercial, informational purposes with attribution. For any other use, please contact the editorial office.

Submission and Account Use

Use of the Neural Prosody OJS submission system requires creation of a user account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity conducted through your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and must update your information if it changes.

You agree to use the submission system only for the submission, review, and management of manuscripts in accordance with Neural Prosody’s published Author Guidelines and Peer Review Policy. Abuse of the platform, including the submission of fraudulent manuscripts, impersonation of other users, or unauthorized access to editorial records, may result in account suspension and referral to appropriate authorities.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use Neural Prosody’s website or services to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in any context, including manuscript submissions, reviewer applications, or contact inquiries

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or to other users’ accounts

  • Engage in any conduct that interferes with the operation of the platform or impairs other users’ ability to use it

  • Harvest, scrape, or systematically collect personal data from other users

  • Use automated tools to submit manuscripts, create accounts, or interact with the platform without prior written permission from Neural Prosody

Disclaimer of Warranties

Neural Prosody’s website and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Neural Prosody does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Neural Prosody does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any content published on its platform; published research reflects the views of the authors and has passed peer review but does not constitute professional advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Neural Prosody, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our website or services, even if Neural Prosody has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Neural Prosody’s total liability for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Neural Prosody in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas.
